Sugar & Season Bakehouse — Bread Club Terms & ConditionsLast updated: June 2026These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your participation in the Sugar & Season Bakehouse Bread Club subscription program ("Bread Club"). By purchasing a Bread Club subscription, you agree to be bound by these Terms in full. Please read them carefully before subscribing.Sugar & Season Bakehouse ("we," "us," "our") is a licensed artisan bakehouse operating out of 71 Underhill Dr., North York, ON M3A 2J8. We can be reached at info@sugarandseason.ca or 647-499-8250.1. About the Bread ClubThe Bread Club is a recurring monthly subscription program that gives members access to freshly baked artisan bread on a weekly basis. There are three available plans:The Country Loaf Club (CA$42/month)One country loaf per week, baked fresh and ready for pickup at your selected location. This plan is available to an unlimited number of subscribers.The Slow Ferment Club (CA$56/month)One extended fermentation loaf per week, available for pickup on Tuesdays or Saturdays only — the days this loaf is baked. Members choose their pickup day at sign-up. Each member may hold a maximum of three (3) active subscriptions under this plan.The Double Loaf Club (CA$79/month)Two country loaves per week, available for pickup on your chosen day. This plan is limited to 30 active subscribers total, ensuring every Double Loaf Club member receives a reliable, consistent supply.Membership in the Bread Club is personal and non-transferable. You may not resell, gift, or assign your subscription to another individual.2. EligibilityTo subscribe to the Bread Club, you must: be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your province; have a valid payment method that can be charged on a recurring monthly basis; have a valid email address to receive order confirmations and communications; and be able to collect your loaf in person at the designated pickup location.We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a subscription at our sole discretion, including in cases of suspected abuse of the program, failure to comply with these Terms, or where operational capacity does not permit additional subscribers.3. Subscription Plans, Pricing & Availability3.1 PricingAll prices listed are in Canadian dollars (CAD). Artisan bread is a zero-rated food item under the Canadian Excise Tax Act and is therefore not subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST) or Harmonized Sales Tax (HST). No tax will be added to your subscription.3.2 Price Lock — The Country Loaf ClubSubscribers who join The Country Loaf Club during the founding launch period will have their monthly rate locked in at CA$42/month for as long as their subscription remains active and in good standing. This founding rate will not be subject to future price increases unless the subscription is paused for more than 60 days, cancelled and restarted, or the member switches to a different plan. The price lock applies only to The Country Loaf Club and only to founding members. It is non-transferable.3.3 Plan ChangesIf you wish to change your subscription plan, please contact us at info@sugarandseason.ca. Plan changes take effect at the start of the next billing cycle. Downgrading or switching plans may result in the loss of any special pricing or benefits, including the founding member price lock.3.4 Subscription LimitsThe Slow Ferment Club: a maximum of three (3) active subscriptions per customer. The Double Loaf Club: a maximum of 30 active subscribers total. If the plan is full, a waitlist may be maintained at our discretion. The Country Loaf Club: no subscriber limit.4. Billing & Payment4.1 Billing CycleSubscriptions are billed monthly, in advance, beginning on the date you first subscribe. Your billing date will remain the same each month.4.2 Payment MethodsWe accept payment via the methods available at checkout on sugarandseason.ca. By providing your payment information, you authorize us to charge your selected payment method on a recurring monthly basis for the subscription fee.4.3 Failed PaymentsIf a payment fails, we will notify you by email and attempt to process the charge again within 48 hours. If payment remains unresolved, your subscription will be paused and your pickup slot forfeited. Once payment is resolved, your subscription will resume at the next available pickup week, subject to availability.4.4 Price ChangesWe reserve the right to change subscription pricing with a minimum of 30 days' written notice via email. You will have the opportunity to cancel before any price change takes effect.5. Pickup5.1 Pickup LocationsYou must select a pickup location at sign-up. Available locations include: Storefront: 71 Underhill Dr., North York, ON M3A 2J8; and Farmers Market locations listed at sugarandseason.ca (subject to seasonal availability). Changing your pickup location requires at least 72 hours' notice.5.2 Pickup DaysThe Country Loaf Club and The Double Loaf Club: pickup on your designated day chosen at sign-up. The Slow Ferment Club: pickup on Tuesdays or Saturdays only — the only days this loaf is baked. No exceptions can be made.5.3 Pickup WindowsYour loaf will be set aside and labeled during the pickup window. Hours are posted at sugarandseason.ca. It is your responsibility to collect your loaf during that time.5.4 Pickup IdentificationWe may ask you to confirm your name and subscription details when collecting your loaf.6. Missed Pickups6.1 Forfeiture PolicyLoaves not collected within 30 minutes of store closing on your pickup day are forfeited for that week. We are unable to hold, refrigerate, or carry over uncollected loaves.6.2 No Refunds for Missed PickupsNo refunds, credits, or substitute pickups will be issued for loaves not collected during the designated pickup window, regardless of the reason.6.3 Advance NoticeIf you know in advance you will be unable to pick up, please notify us at least 48 hours ahead at info@sugarandseason.ca or 647-499-8250. We will do our best to accommodate an alternative pickup day, subject to availability.7. Cancellations & Refunds7.1 How to CancelCancel at any time by logging into your account at sugarandseason.ca or emailing info@sugarandseason.ca. We aim to process cancellations within 2 business days.7.2 When Cancellations Take EffectCancellations take effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You will continue to receive your weekly loaf through the last day of the paid period. No partial refunds are issued for unused weeks.7.3 No RefundsWe do not offer refunds on subscription fees except where a billing error has occurred on our part, or where we are unable to fulfill your subscription due to circumstances within our control.7.4 Reactivating a Cancelled SubscriptionYou may resubscribe subject to availability. Founding member pricing or other plan-specific benefits will not carry over to a new subscription.8. Subscription Pauses8.1 Complimentary PauseWe offer one (1) complimentary pause per calendar year of up to two (2) consecutive weeks. During a pause, you will not be charged and will not receive a loaf.8.2 How to Request a PauseEmail info@sugarandseason.ca at least 72 hours before your next scheduled pickup day with the dates you wish to pause and your planned return date.8.3 Additional PausesAdditional or extended pauses beyond the annual complimentary pause are available at our discretion.8.4 Pauses and Price LocksA pause of more than 60 consecutive days may result in forfeiture of your founding member price lock. We will notify you before this takes effect.9. Substitutions & Availability9.1 Ingredient and Recipe VariationsArtisan bread is a living product. The appearance, size, crust, and crumb of each loaf may vary slightly week to week due to natural fermentation and seasonal ingredients. These variations are a feature of handmade bread, not a defect.9.2 Production IssuesIf a loaf is unavailable due to a production issue, we will contact you as soon as possible and offer a full credit toward a future pickup or a substitute loaf of equal or greater value, subject to availability.9.3 Seasonal AvailabilityWe will give at least 30 days' notice of any changes to plan availability, pickup locations, or offerings.10. Allergens & Dietary InformationAll bread produced at Sugar & Season Bakehouse contains gluten (wheat and/or other grains) and may contain or have come into contact with sesame, tree nuts, and other allergens. Our baking environment is not allergen-free.It is the subscriber's sole responsibility to assess whether our products are suitable for their dietary needs. We cannot guarantee that any loaf is free from specific allergens. Please contact us before subscribing if you have a severe food allergy.11. Modifications to the Bread ClubWe reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Bread Club with a minimum of 30 days' written notice to active subscribers. If we discontinue a plan you are subscribed to, we will offer you the choice of switching to an available plan or cancelling with a prorated refund for any unused portion of your current billing cycle.12. PrivacyYour personal information is collected and used solely for administering your Bread Club subscription. We will not sell or share your information with third parties except as required to process payments or comply with applicable law. For full details, see our Privacy Policy at sugarandseason.ca.13. Limitation of LiabilityTo the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sugar & Season Bakehouse shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your participation in the Bread Club. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by you in the three (3) months preceding the claim.14. Governing LawThese Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.15.
